The 33rd district of Illinois consists of the South Side of the City of Chicago (South Shore, Avalon Park, Chatham, Marynook, South Chicago, Burnside, Calumet Heights, Pill Hill, Jeffery Manor, East Side, South Deering, South Chicago, and Hegewisch) and portions of the Village of Burnham, the City of Calumet City, the Village of Lansing, and the Village of Lynwood.
