Environmental Service Tech – Housekeeping


We currently seek a motivated Housekeeper to serve as the Environmental Service Technician at St. Joseph Village of Chicago. In this role, the associate will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting various surfaces, furnishings, equipment and areas throughout the facility. This position will also clean and be responsible for the upkeep of resident’s apartments/rooms, dining areas, offices, utility rooms and other areas assigned on a daily basis. This position is full-time, working late afternoon/evening hours.

St. Joseph Village is a vibrant senior living community located Chicago, Illinois. It offers a variety of senior lifestyle options including assisted living, memory support assisted living, and skilled nursing/long-term care. Additionally, the onsite rehabilitation clinic offers inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapies, and state-of-the-art programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents and patients in the local community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Clean and disinfect resident rooms, apartments and bathrooms
Remove trash in all public areas
Vacuum , mop, sweep all floors and carpet
Respond to work orders and performs cleaning projects as assigned
Responsible for keeping carts and closets neat and clean
Exhibit service oriented behaviors and actions to help provide a pleasant and supportive environment

Required skills and qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Energetic, professional with exceptional interpersonal skills
Customer Service skills
Team player
Compassionate understanding of eldercare
2-3 years of experience in housekeeping in long-term care preferred

High School or better.
